Polimedel is an abbreviation of the words POLYmeric MEDical ELectret. It is a polymer film (fluorinated polymer (PTFE-F4A) – modified Teflon. It is made by a special nanotechnology at the Military Research Institute for Defense Technologies in St. Petersburg. The technology ensures that the film has a permanent negative electric charge (monopole), whose electrostatic field acts to a distance of 10-14 cm.
Due to the negative electric field of the POLIMEDEL film, the main biological effects are caused by acting upon erythrocytes (red blood cells), macrophages (immune system cells), molecular nitrogen and calcium, which accelerates protein synthesis. This causes analgesic effects, accelerated wound and fracture healing, anti-inflammatory effect and a strong role of phagocytosis (absorption of bacteria and foreign substances in the body). It generally activates the immune system, dissolves thrombi (blood clots)…
Simply said, we put it where it hurts! We apply the POLIMEDEL film to the area of pain inserted into the cotton case, which, at the same time, protects the film from sweat and wrinkling, which damages the film and reduces its effect.
The film shall be stored in a dry place in the cotton case, which is a part of the package. The cotton case with the film can be folded in two halves – it is important to insert the paper in which the film was wrapped.
The film should be applied directly to the skin in the included cotton case. It can also be applied over purely natural materials (cotton, linen…). Artificial and synthetic fibres shield the effect of the film.
The film should be treated in case of contact with sweat or water. In this case, wipe it with a clean cotton swab for make-up removal. In case of frequent use, remove the film from the cotton case after two weeks of use and wipe with a dry cotton swab on both sides. Choose the same procedure even if you have not used the film for a long time, because the film binds nitrogen to itself, which prevents the effect of the film.
– The film SHALL NOT be applied to bleeding wounds and to areas of suspected internal bleeding
– The film SHALL NOT be applied to the heart area when using a pacemaker (possible effect upon waves emitted by a pacemaker)
– The film SHALL NOT be applied to the thyroid area (it supports activity of thyroid)
- In case of increased thyroid activity, it could even more increase its activity
- In case of reduced thyroid activity, it could help.
But in general, it is not recommended to applied it directly to the thyroid gland and the collarbone area.
– In case of cancer, the film shall not be applied directly to the area of occurrence of tumours (no studies of the effect in case of cancer have been performed)
– The film SHALL NOT be applied simultaneously while using the blood thinners (e.g. Warfarin)
However, it is possible after consultation with a doctor after monitoring and setting treatment – possible reduction of a dose of the blood thinner.
In order to have the best effect upon accelerating the treatment, we recommend that the entire area around the joint is covered. The material can shield the effect of the film, so it is advisable to cover as large area as possible.
Yes, animal tests were performed (excellent results in the treatment of hip dysplasia)
In addition to the clinical studies in Russia and Ukraine, tests were performed also in Slovakia at several sites, where 91.8% of tested persons showed a positive effect, 5.3% could not comment on the potential effect, and the rest discontinued treatment after initial applications due to disappointment of the expected immediate analgesic effect.
The POLIMEDEL film is applied to the pain area for 30-120 minutes at least 3 times a day, if possible, until difficulties disappear.
One of the possible reactions to application of the POLIMEDEL film is temporary increase of pain, which is caused by cells of the immune system – the POLIMEDEL film activates them in the body. In addition to pain, also sense of tingling and heat may occur, or no changes of feeling may occur at the application area. Continue to apply the POLIMEDEL film.
The POLIMEDEL film does not cause any allergic reactions. The POLIMEDEL film shall be applied in the enclosed cotton case and care must be taken to avoid scalding during prolonged application. The POLIMEDEL film has an effect range of 10-14 cm and does not have to closely copy the body.
The POLIMEDEL film has no age restrictions. It is suitable for all ages, athletes, pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, people after injuries and in convalescence.
Do not apply the POLIMEDEL film if swelling occurs after insect bite. Due to greater blood flow – it can accelerate an allergic reaction.
The POLIMEDEL film lasts a year from the first use – with frequent and careless use, the film may deteriorate even earlier – it is possible to recognize this by the fact that the POLIMEDEL film acquires a milky colour. You can store unused film in suitable conditions for 5 years.
